Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation to participate in the international business aviation exhibition, JET EXPO 2007, to be held September 19 – 21, 2007 at Moscow’s Crocus Expo

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, one of the recognized leaders in today’s business aviation market place, is constantly at the cutting edge of innovation in aviation technology. Gulfstream Aerospace’s latest design achievements have been embodied in the ultra-long-range Gulfstream G550. The aircraft has a “Planeview” cockpit, equipped with a Honeywell Primus Epic avionics suite, a Gulfstream-designed cursor control device, and an Enhanced Vision System (EVS), comprising an infrared camera that displays an image of the view in front of the camera on a head-up display. EVS permits the aircraft to land in lower-visibility instrument meteorological conditions than a non-EVS-equipped aircraft. The G550 has exceptional range characteristics (the G550 can go 12,500km without refueling) and high speed performance.  Gulfstream Aerospace made its first steps in business aviation in 1958 with the debut of the twin turboprop 20-seat G-159А. The plane had a speed of 935km/h and an operating altitude of 13,700m which was outstanding for that time. The Gulfstream II became a prototype for Gulfstream’s modern day business jets.
The real triumph came in 1995 with the unveiling of the long-range Gulfstream V that could cover over 12,000km non-stop.
Today, the company offers a full product line of six aircraft at various price and performance points from the mid-size G150 to the large-cabin, ultra-long-range G500.
