Exhibition “Turkmen Construction 2011” attracts participants

The UN report "World Economic Situation and Prospects for 2011" (WESP), says that Turkmenistan in 2011-2012 will be fixed one of the highest economic growth rates in the world, UN experts expect that the growth of the Turkmen economy will claim at least 10% and remain at that level in 2012. Recall that the growth rate of real GDP 2010 amounted to 109,2%.
One of the most obvious symptoms of a rapid economic growth is a construction boom.
120 social and industrial facilities and buildings amounting to US$ 4.8 billion were built in 2010.
The year 2010 was a year of the large-scale architectural premieres. The most striking and significant building premieres in Ashgabat include the Oguzkent Hotel and the Ylham Park. Social and cultural facilities, apartment houses and supply systems and utility infrastructure are built in rural areas. A complex of infrastructure facilities put into operation in the Awaza National Tourism Area, including the artificial river, gas turbine power station, desalination unit, extended road network. New airport opened in Turkmenbashi, the new seaport will be built on the Caspian Sea coast in the near future.
The network of trunk roads will be reconstructed and new freeways of total length about 1700 kilometers will be built in Turkmenistan by 2014.
According to the plans to be fulfilled in 2011 facilities worth about US$ 7 billion would be built and put into operation. This volume of capital investments made in the construction sector is unprecedented in the history of the country.
It is important that the sector is oriented towards wide application of innovations. Turkmenistan seeks to apply latest technologies, to build for centuries, in compliance with international standards.
Substantial investments allocated for the construction sector and the favorable investment climate attracting leading construction companies, manufacturers of building materials, machinery and equipment, advanced technologies suppliers and construction service provides to the country.
Many of them will participate in the 3rd International exhibition «Turkmen Construction - 2011»and International conference «Development of Construction Industry of Turkmenistan» to be held on August 25-27, 2011 in the Ashgabat exhibition center.
