The International Building Exhibition Turkmengurlusyk-2014 (Building in Turkmenistan — 2014) started its work at the Exhibition Centre in Ashgabat. The forum was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan jointly with the departments of building industry.
The cabinet ministers, heads of Mejlis, ministries and departments and diplomatic missions accredited to Turkmenistan, representatives of public organisations and the media attended the opening ceremony.
Over 220 participants from 15 countries of the world have arranged their expositions at Sergi kosgi Exhibition Centre this year. The keen interest of foreign business circles in the Ashgabat economic forum illustrates their willingness to operate on the promising and dynamically developing market of our country. The participants include the sectoral departments, enterprises of building materials industry and construction companies from Turkmenistan and foreign countries. The international building exhibition in the capital of Turkmenistan brought together the companies from Turkey, China, Russia, Iran, Germany, Kazakhstan and other countries of Europe and Asia.
The private sector of Turkmenistan’s building industry, which has a number of successful large-scale projects in its assets, was widely represented at the economic forum by the private construction companies, including Myradym, Gujurly inzener, Aga gurlusyk and Berk yol. The major foreign construction companies and manufacturers of innovative building and finishing materials, including Vinci, Bouygues, Polimeks, Gap Insaat, Tikkurila, Foamglas, Magnitogorsk iron-and-steel works, Kabir panel, JCB, Hyundai and Ammann, arranged their expositions at the international exhibition.
The pavilions of the sectoral departments and enterprises producing facing stone, cement, bricks, non-metallic building materials and fabricated metal products showcase the dynamic growth of Turkmenistan’s building industry.
The draft designs and models of various buildings and facilities illustrate the development prospects of the capital city and fast growing towns and villages of our country. These include administrative and office buildings, shopping and entertainment centres and apartment houses with modern conveniences. Many innovative projects of housing estates, white-marble office buildings and enterprises presented at the Ashgabat economic forum will be implemented in the near future. The expositions aroused particular interest as they allowed looking into the future of Turkmen towns and villages and chose the most promising projects.
The pavilions of the companies, which stand ready to offer know-how in road building sector, were particularly attractive for participants in the exhibition. The ambitious projects aimed at developing modern transport infrastructure are being implemented in Turkmenistan today. Thousands of kilometres of roads, bridges and flyovers which require specific engineering solutions and advanced technologies are being built throughout the country.
A variety of construction and specialised machinery and equipment, such as concrete batching units, heavy trucks, bulldozers and specialized vehicles were displayed on the outdoor exhibition area.
The international building exhibition provided a platform for the science conference “Development of Turkmenistan’s Building Industry” that brought together the heads of sectoral ministries and departments, specialists of foreign construction companies and experts from all over the world. Detailed information on the development of the building sector of Turkmen economy and video materials illustrating Turkmenistan’s achievements in this sector were provided to the participants in the conference.
The major conference themes included advanced technologies and innovative building materials, opportunities for cooperation and key fields of building materials manufacturing in the context of the implementation of ambitious and innovative projects. The prospects of the development of the capital city and regions of Turkmenistan were considered in the light of the growing role of the private sector of the industry. The conference themes also covered antiseismic construction and complex engineering projects.
